Many General Updates Coming
I’ve been on vacation for a little bit and have neglected the site, I have updates concerning the following:
- The KGB made me a full “special agent” (e-mail stating this and other comments will be provided)
- I’m taking the Illinois real estate broker’s exam this Friday (the 14th), this includes both the “national simulation” and “state multiple choice” portions, will let you know what I’m reviewing and how confident I feel tomorrow
- Nothing too much more on driving except the fact that I’ve done a little bit and just wish I didn’t put it off for so long
- Currently, I’m looking at going back to school after another short vacation after the exam and might be looking for a job in Macomb, IL
- On the side, I’ve been trying to pick up Ruby (and, eventually, Ruby on Rails), this is probably the single most difficult task I’m currently attempting, and I’m trying to come up with my own examples to see if they work. I’m doing this with the Pragmatic Programmer’s guides, “Programming Ruby 1.9″ (the PickAxe book) and “Agile Web Development with Rails,” both of these books have been great, though I’d suggest setting them down occasionally and just trying your own thing or walking away and thinking about what they said, as the books get either wordy or too packed with information, or (worst yet) both.
Anyway, more updates coming and I’ll start with real estate, then KGB, then go from there.
